Pokemon Pitch Black Launch & Trade Night

We're doing something a little different for the launch of Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution – Pitch Black.

Rather than simply opening packs and heading home, we're turning launch night into a community trade event where you can meet other collectors, trade cards, open your new products and (hopefully!) complete some of your collection before the night is over.

Whether you've been collecting for years or you're just getting back into Pokémon, everyone is welcome.

💷 £5 Entry (Bay Games Members trade free)

What's Happening?

Throughout the evening you'll be able to:

Trade Pokémon cards with other members of the community.

Trade eligible cards into Bay Games towards Pitch Black sealed products.

Open your new products in-store and immediately trade any duplicates or chase cards with other players.

The idea is to create a fun launch atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the new set together.

Bay Games Trade-Ins

If you'd like to trade cards into Bay Games, please note:

Eligible cards will be accepted at 70% trade value.

Trade credit can only be used towards Pitch Black sealed products during this event.

Any sealed product purchased using trade credit must be opened in-store during the event.

This keeps the evening focused on opening packs, trading and enjoying the launch together.

What Cards Can I Bring?

You're welcome to bring cards from any Pokémon set to trade with other attendees.

For Bay Games trade-ins, we're generally looking for:

Illustration Rares (IR)

Full Arts

Special Illustration Rares (SIR)

Hyper Rares

Other desirable singles

Please don't bring bulk cards expecting to trade them into the store.

We will not be accepting:

Slabbed or graded cards

Most very high-value items

Large quantities of low-value bulk cards

If you're unsure whether a card is suitable, just ask a member of staff on the night.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I trade with other people?

Absolutely! That's a huge part of the evening. Bring your binders and trade with other collectors.

Do I have to trade with Bay Games?

No. Trading between attendees is encouraged.

Can I bring cards from older Pokémon sets?

Yes! It doesn't have to be Pitch Black. Any Pokémon cards are welcome for community trading.

Can I open my pre-order at the event?

Yes! If you've pre-ordered Pitch Black and have your product, you're welcome to open it during the event and trade any duplicates straight away.
